Popular Questions

  • How do I make a reservation for my field trip?

You may either call 920-432-4397 (or ask for Whitney) or complete the online Registration Form. A $50 deposit is required to finalize a field trip reservation. This deposit is non-refundable but will be directly applied to the cost of your visit.

  • What are your field trip arrival and departure policies?

Field trips are asked to be prompt with their arrivals and departures. It is important that groups plan to stay at the museum only for the time allotted. Field Trips are scheduled in a manner that allows everyone to have a pleasant experience at the museum. Arriving early or planning to stay later without prior arrangements will result in a less-than-ideal experience for your group and other museum visitors.

School Bus Arrival: A member of the Children's Museum staff will meet you on your bus upon arrival. Please do not have children exit the bus until instructed.

Buses should drop off and pick up students at the museum's main entrance at the front of the building.

Parking is available on-site in the museum's parking lot.

Individual Vehicles: Please have the field trip leader enter the museum to let staff know of your arrival. When all children and adults have arrived, the field trip may enter as one large group and receive further instructions.

Parking is available on-site in the museum's parking lot.

  • What if adults/chaperones in our group are arriving separately?

If arriving separately, adults will need to check in at the front desk and await further instruction. It is possible that they will not be permitted into the museum exhibits until the field trip group arrives.

  • How long does the field trip last?

Field trips include 2 hours of playtime in the museum's exhibits and outdoor discovery center. An optional 20-minute lunch reservation and/or 30-minute focused program may also be added to a field trip reservation.

  • My group cannot visit the museum for a field trip. Do you have any special outreach or virtual programs available so we can still participate in a fun museum activity?

Yes, please check out our Outreach Programs.
